Office of Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections, Haryana is headed by the Commissioner, Justice H.S. Bhalla. The main object of the Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections is to conduct the elections of Haryana Sikh Gurdwaras Management Committee in a free, fair and peaceful manner so that faith of the people in democracy is strengthened.
This office has to conduct the general elections of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwaras Management Committee (forty wards) for which electoral rolls of all wards will be prepared and revised from time to time with the help of Deputy Commissioners and Returning Officers.
Office of Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections, Haryana was established on appointment of Justice H.S.Bhalla as Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections vide notification No. 4/4/2014-3G, dated 26th December, 2022, issued by the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Haryana, Home Department by an Act called the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara (Management) Act, 2014.
